Finalize the II Inclusive Nautical Festival
On Saturday, June 22, 2024, Shipyard (Cantabria) became a model of inclusion and sports passion with the second edition of Inclusive Nautical Festivalorganized by Cantabria Multisport and co-organized by the Town Hall of Shipyard and Living Cantabria.
More than 150 boats of clubs from all over Spain, and even France, were quoted to participate in open competitions and integration. The day combined official tests and moments of coexistence, with the presence of athletes with and without disabilities rowing together.
The competitions included:
Paracanoe National Open3rd test of the IV Paracanoe National Circuit PK3, PV3 and K-2 Inclusive.
The trophy San José de Promoción, puntuable for the Cantabrian League.
The Trophy Dragon Shipyard and Dragonucos, second test of the Inclusive Dragon Boat Interclub Circuit.
From the 10:00 a.m., the Dragon Boats they became protagonists, with routes designed to share experience among participants of any capacity.
The environment was completed with ground activities:
Live music in charge of The Voice of the Patient (12:00 h) and The Gordini Rock Show (13:30 h).
Onda Marina FM broadcast live from the boat, interviewing participants and organizers.
Diverse food trucks and stands like La Crujiente, El Dromedario, A Bocados, Tacos Point and Helados Artesanos Riancho.
Vehicle exposure Skoda and presence of entities such as the Racing Foundation of Santander, FESCAN and ONCE.
The day was not only a sports show, but a demonstration collaboration and solidarity in the sport. The mayor of Astillero, Javier Fernández Soberón, highlighted the municipal commitment to inclusion, and the Councillor for Sports, Alejandro Hozstressed the power of sport build community.
The II Inclusive Nautical Festival of Shipyard was a day unforgettable remnants, where it was rebuilt by integration and bonds that transcend sport were created. An event that grows every year in number, participation and heart.
